A fun and free spooky adventure – Xplorer Halloween edition

Published Friday, 7 October 2016

From 10.30am to 12.30pm on Friday 28 October the Waverley Werewolf, the witch of Waverley and all their fiendish friends will take over Broadwater Park.

This half term, young families are invited to take part in the exploration game that has taken Waverley by storm. The free, outdoor family adventure will have you racing against friends to complete the course and find all the mysterious markers.

The course lasts for approximately 30 minutes and everyone will receive a certificate and sticker for taking part.

Councillor Jenny Else, Portfolio Holder for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, said: “This is a fantastic, free and safe activity for families to take advantage of this half term.

“Around 65 children took part in a single session during the summer and feedback from both parents and children is that they had a brilliant time putting their navigational skills to the test. It’s a chance to get outside, have fun and get ready for the Halloween weekend.

“This is such a great way for families to spend time exploring new skills together and it is an opportunity which shouldn’t be missed.”

This spooky event is part of a whole series of Xplorer events. To find out more visit www.waverley.gov.uk/xplorer or www.facebook.com/WaverleyLeisure
