Residents advised to watch out for postcard regarding bin day changes

Published Tuesday, 2 June 2020

Waverley Borough Council will be issuing a postcard to 44,000 residents whose refuse, recycling and food waste collection day will be changing from Monday 6 July 2020.

The changes, which are being made to create a more efficient service, form the second phase of a route optimisation programme implemented when Biffa took over the contract in 2019.

If residents haven’t received a postcard by 26 June, the changes are not going to affect their collection days.

There will be no changes to garden waste collection days for those who subscribe to the service.

Although many Community Recycling Centres are now open, and accepting a wider range of items, residents are also reminded to please check on the Surrey County Council website before visiting to find out which ones remain closed and for general guidance on items accepted.

Residents can also visit https://www.waverley.gov.uk/bins for information on bin collections and also to check what rubbish goes where.
