Tenants Invited To Meet Their New Maintenance Contractor MPS

Published Wednesday, 6 February 2019

Waverley Borough Council is inviting council tenants to come and meet the people who will be responsible for repairing their homes at a meet and greet event.

The event will take place on Friday 15 February between 10am-2pm at Godalming Baptist Church.

The council’s new repairs and maintenance contractor MPS (previously known as Mitie) will be on hand to meet tenants, answer any questions and provide advice on home repairs. They are also keen to meet and talk to people who may be interested in their apprenticeship training programme.

Each year, the council carries out more than 20,000 day-to-day repairs to the 5,000 homes it owns, as well as improvements to prepare around 270 homes for re-letting. MPS have been contracted to carry out all responsive repair work on Waverley’s council homes from Monday 1 April, following an extensive procurement process involving tenants.

If you need any assistance in attending the event or have any special requests, please email service.improvement@waverley.gov.uk or call 01483 523196.
