Waverley Borough Council has submitted its proposed Community Infrastructure Levy, also known as CIL, to the Planning Inspectorate for independent examination.

CIL is a tariff charged on new development in order to raise funds to provide infrastructure.

The CIL charging schedule, produced following two rounds of public consultation undertaken during the summer and winter of 2017, sets out what the proposed charges will be.

The draft charging schedule was submitted on 11 May 2018, along with supporting documents. The documents can be viewed at and hard copies can be seen at Waverley Borough Council’s Planning Reception, the Farnham Locality Office and at local libraries.

The Planning Inspectorate will now appoint an examiner who will review the CIL documents including representations made. Further updates on the examination will be given in due course.
