Parking machine upgrades in all car parks

We are investing £90,000 to upgrade all our parking machines in Waverley.

From next week (beginning 13 March) modifications will be made on all machines in Waverley’s car parks to take the new 12-sided £1 coin, which will be launched on 28 March.

Some machines in the borough’s busiest car parks will also have new card readers and contactless card payment systems installed in order to offer more cashless payments options to customers, as well as continuing to accept coins.

The new cashless payment machines will be located in the following car parks:

·    Stocklund Square, Cranleigh

·    Village Way, Cranleigh

·    Central, Farnham

·    Lower Hart, Farnham

·    Upper Hart, Farnham

·    Crown Court, Godalming

·    High Street, Haslemere.

The card reader facilities will be activated in one or two car parks a month, over the next six months. The first car parks to launch the new card payment machines will be Stocklund Square and Village Way in Cranleigh, to coincide with a trial of a new ‘check in check out’ way of parking in April.
