Dunsfold Conservation Area Appraisal
Following a public consultation, the Dunsfold Conservation Area Appraisal (CAA) was adopted at Full Council on 25 April 2017. The document included several amendments to the boundary.
Material consideration for planning applications
The document is a material planning consideration for all applications within the conservation area (CA). A CAA identifies and explains the character of the CA. It also contains a Management Plan section that sets out specific actions/projects aimed at preserving and enhancing the conservation area as well as managing change in the future. It will also be used to prioritise environmental improvement projects within the CA.
You can also download:
- the Dunsfold CAA consultation statement
- a leaflet explaining what these changes might mean for residents, land owners and occupiers
Dunsfold developed as a narrow ribbon along the western edge of the elongated common. The common still dominates the street scene providing the CA with its feel of open space and connection with the wider landscape.
Dunsfold Village Design Statement
The conservation area is also covered by the Dunsfold Village Design Statement which was adopted as a material planning consideration in 2001.
