Licences and registrations

Alcohol and entertainment

We issue licences for pubs, clubs, off-licences and other entertainment venues (eg cinemas and theatres).

If your business sells alcohol, you need a premises licence.  Those who sell alcohol need a personal licence.

Taxis and private hire

All drivers, vehicles and operators of Hackney Carriages (taxis) and Private Hire vehicles (mini cabs) working in Waverley need to be licensed by Waverley Borough Council. This is to ensure public safety.

We also provide information for taxi passengers and investigate complaints relating to taxi/private hire drivers and vehicles.
