Local arts centres and venues

We support and work in proactive partnership with three key arts venues in Waverley:

Find out more about each venue below.

Farnham Maltings

Farnham Maltings is a creative organisation operating from a collection of historic buildings in the heart of Farnham.

The venue itself provides a place in which people of all ages and abilities can see and make art.

It offers a lively programme of events ranging from music, film, comedy, theatre & dance, children's theatre, arts & crafts, festivals and markets.

Farnham Maltings is a key partner in assisting Waverley Borough Council to deliver its community arts objectives such as youth theatre development, the B Active summer holiday programme, the annual youth event, after school art clubs, theatre in the village hall and strategic support to other venues such as Cranleigh Art Centre.

The venue comprises a main hall, a gallery, workshop and meeting rooms, a coffee shop and bar. It offers a popular and a high quality event programme and shows cinema viewings on a regular basis. An enthusiastic team of volunteers support the operation managers in the day to day running of the centre.

Its vision is to enrich, entertain and inspire the community, which it achieves by encouraging people to participate in the arts, engaging with local artists and makers and coordinating a high quality arts and entertainment programme.

To achieve its vision to 'enrich, entertain and inspire the community' Cranleigh Art Centre has formed a creative alliance with Farnham Maltings to facilitate the sharing of expertise in operational issues, finance, marketing, programming and strategic planning.
