How the council is organised

Waverley Borough Council is made up of 57 councillors who are elected by the public in local elections.

Councillors work with local people and partners, such as local businesses and other organisations, to agree and deliver on local priorities. The decisions are implemented by permanent council staff, council officers, who deliver services on a daily basis.

Go to our Councillors section to find your local councillors.

Visit the Councillors and meetings section for more information about council meetings, committees, and how you can influence decisions at Waverley.

The Borough Mayor is elected annually and carries out many civic duties, such as the volunteers garden party, civic service and much more.

Senior Management Team

The day-to-day running of the council's business is the responsibility of Waverley's Senior Management Team, which focuses on linking corporate objectives, professional competencies and service delivery.
