Community Transport Services

There are a number of community based transport services operating throughout the borough to help people get around in Waverley.

Waverley Hoppa Community Transport

Hoppa provides a low cost, Community Transport service across the borough.

  • The Hoppa Shoppa provides transport links within Waverley’s four main towns and surrounding villages. This is a door-to-door service, subject to availability and must be pre-booked.
  • Scheduled Hoppa services have a fixed route and a timetable and do not need to be pre-booked. These services currently accept a valid bus pass for travel (after 9.30am) and a fare structure for fare paying passengers.
  • The Hospital Hoppa is a dedicated service from your home in Haslemere or Godalming and surrounding villages to the Royal Surrey County Hospital and all other health facilities between Haslemere and Guildford.

Good Neighbour Schemes

Waverley is well covered by Good Neighbour Schemes. Volunteers use their own cars to provide community based care and support for people who need help with some of the basics of day to day living.  Most groups take people to and from hospital, GP and other health appointments. Some offer additional support services.
