    Discover an enchanted historic woodland garden nestled within the Surrey Hills, renowned for its breathtaking collection of Azaleas, Rhododendrons and Camelia's, and carpeted with bluebells.

    Ramster Garden

     

    Ramster is a stunning woodland garden of over 20 acres renowned for its captivating beauty and tranquility.

    Explore the natural winding paths to see spring delights including drifts of daffodils and primroses beneath towering bushes of camellias and ancient magnolia trees. Don't miss the endless carpets of bluebells and breathtaking collection of Azaleas and Rhododendrons which burst into colour throughout the garden in May.

    Prices

    Adults: £7.50, Group rate: (15+ people) £6.50, Registered Disabled: £4.00

    Season Tickets: Unlimited access to garden during opening times. £40 Joint (2 adults), £20.00 (Individual) Children: Free (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

    Embroidery Exhibition entrance: £6.50

    Combined Entry to Garden and Embroidery: £13.00

    Groups: We welcome groups and pre-booked coach visits.

    Accessibility: Disabled parking bays and toilet. Some paths are suitable for wheelchairs. Disabled access to teahouse.

    Dogs: Welcome on leads in the garden.

    Teahouse: Serves drinks and a selection of cakes, sandwiches, soups, quiche and snacks.

  • Volunteering at Frensham Common

    • Location: Frensham Common
    • Cost: Free

    Volunteer sessions take place every Wednesday from 10:00 – 15:30, apart from the second Wednesday of the month where the session will instead be at Mare Hill Common.

    Unless otherwise specified, meet at 10:00 at the Frensham Pond visitor centre, Bacon Lane, Churt, GU10 2QB. Sessions led by Darren.

    Bridleway Maintenance: We will be cutting back gorse from bridleways across the common in anticipation of the Frensham Sponsored Ride.

    Wednesday 17 April

    Wildlife surveying: We will be beginning this years biological and environmental surveys across the common. Encompassing birds, reptiles, invertebrates and mammals, these surveys help guide the management of the site.

    Wednesday 24 April

    Path maintenance: Path maintenance on the Flashes to help improve access for walkers and horses using the bridleway. Meet at 10:00am at Sandy Lane, GU10 2EU.

    Toad pond maintenance: Cutting vegetation in and around the natterjack toad ponds to maintain a more favourable habitat.

    Wednesday 15 May
