There are two canals in Waverley:

  • The Godalming Navigation. Opened in 1764 as an extension to the Wey navigation, which was one of the first British rivers to be made navigable. It is now owned by the National Trust.
  • The Way and Arun canal . Known as "London's lost route to the sea", the Wey and Arun canal is currently being restored.
