Introduction to Waverley Training Services
Waverley Training Services (WTS) is a ‘not for surplus’ department of Waverley Borough Council and we have been delivering work-based learning qualifications, apprenticeships, functional skills and employability skills to a range of learners of since 1981.
We deliver qualifications throughout Surrey and the borders of Hampshire, Berkshire and Sussex.
We contract with the Department for Education in order to obtain funding for the qualifications delivered, however we are also able to offer privately-funded training if required.
We are an approved Apprenticeship Training Provider and are listed as a main provider on the Department for Education’s apprenticeship provider and assessment register (APAR).
We do not subcontract any of our delivery provision.
The different funding streams we are contracted to deliver against are:
- Apprenticeships
- Study Programmes
- Adult Education Budget (AEB)
We are open to inspection from OFSTED and in our last full inspection in December 2023 we are proud to say we were awarded a ‘Good’ across all aspects of the framework.
We always strive to provide individuals with accurate information, advice and guidance to support them in achieving their full potential. This is shown through our Matrix accreditation, an industry award which has just been given ‘Maintaining Award’ status.
