Waverley celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Between Thursday 2 June and Sunday 5 June, residents will commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with street parties across Waverley.

Queen Elizabeth II celebrates the seventieth anniversary of her accession to the throne and is the first, and only, Monarch to reach such a momentous milestone.

Residents look forward with great anticipation and excitement to participating in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June, with a total of over 70 street parties planned throughout the borough.

If you are planning a big lunch, parade or street party with your neighbours we would love to promote your events. Simply submit them to our events webpage and our What’s on Waverley Facebook page. If you are planning any celebrations, don't forget to share your Jubilee story on social media using #HM70 and #PlatinumJubilee and tag @waverleybc too.

Due to the festivities, there are a number of road closures planned, futher information can be found on our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Events web page.

If you are looking to organise a street party without closing a road, please visit The Street Party Site or the Gov.uk website for further guidance.

If you’d like to join in the festivities, you can search for events happening near you on the Queen's Platinum Jubilee website or check out the What’s on Waverley Facebook Page for updates.
