The People’s Choice Award back by popular demand!

The Waverley Borough Council People's Choice Award is now open for voting! The award is the perfect opportunity for people who live or work in Waverley to showcase their community pride for the fantastic architecture and landscapes that have been developed in recent years.  

The award takes place as part of the Waverley Borough Council Design Awards 2023 as one of 8 categories to acknowledge new developments in the borough which deserve community recognition. Unlike other awards, which are determined by a carefully selected panel, the People’s Choice Award will be wholly determined by you and other members of the public, voting on their preferred design!   

The deadline to vote is 28 November giving people plenty of time to choose between the 14 entries and a winner announced at a special awards ceremony in early 2023.  

Councillor Liz Townsend BEM, Portfolio holder for Planning and Economic Development said; “The People's Choice Award is a great way to show your support for exemplary development in your local community. By voting, you can help to decide which recent developments are the best in Waverley and contribute to and compliment its character. This year we have a range of excellent contenders for this prestigious award, so please do cast your vote and let us know what you think.”
