State of the Borough Meeting – Water Issues in Waverley

Friday 8 December 2023, 7pm at The Council Chamber, The Burys, Godalming.

Waverley Borough Council will hold a public meeting to highlight and discuss issues related to water and sewage infrastructure and emergency planning.

For many years, water supply outages have regularly impacted on Cranleigh and the west of the borough, while more recently a serious outage left residents of Godalming and the surrounding villages with no water supply for up to five days. Concerns have also been raised about the timeliness and effectiveness of the emergency planning response to such outages.

The State of the Borough meeting will set out the roles and legal responsibilities of Thames Water, the county council, borough council and town and parish councils. You can read the agenda by clicking the button.
