Met Office issues red weather warning

The Met Office has issued a red weather warning for extremely strong winds from Storm Eunice on Friday 18 February. The red weather warning covers much of the southeast, including Waverley.

The Met office only issues a red weather warning when dangerous weather is expected. It is very likely that there will be a risk to life, with substantial disruption to travel, energy supplies and possibly widespread damage to property and infrastructure. You should avoid travelling, where possible, and follow the advice of the emergency services and local authorities. You can see further information on the Met Office website.
