Have your say on polling districts and polling places in the borough

Waverley Borough Council is seeking your views as part of a review of polling districts and polling places in the borough.

The Review is a legal process for considering the location and suitability of the polling districts and polling places for voters in future elections.  As a council, we want to make sure that Waverley residents and interested groups have their say in where polling stations are located. In particular, we want to ensure that polling stations are accessible to all, including those with a disability.

The consultation takes place between Monday 18 November and Monday 16 December 2024.

Full information on the Review and further details on how to make a representation can be viewed on our website at  Waverley Borough Council - Interim Polling Districts and Polling Places Review 2024

Those wishing to make a written representation can email polling.review@waverley.gov.uk or post it to: Electoral services, Council Offices, The Burys, Godalming, GU7 1HR.   Recommendations arising from the review will be reported to the Standards and General Purposes Committee on Monday 20 January and Full Council on Tuesday 28 January 2025.  The list of approved polling districts and polling places will be published in February 2025 and will be used for elections on 1 May 2025.

Pedro Wrobel, Waverley Borough Council’s Electoral Registration Officer, said:  “It is important that polling districts and polling places are in the most appropriate place for voters to be able to access, and I would urge residents and interested parties, particularly those with a disability or an interest in accessibility to take part and let us have your views.”
