Godalming welcomes Pride in Surrey

Godalming is set to welcome Pride in Surrey’s main summer parade and festival event which takes place on Saturday 25 September.

This year’s event will see both a main stage and a community stage, showcasing local talent alongside a popular youth zone. The event will also be hosting many local and national LGBTQ+ groups and charities.

The parade route for this year’s march will travel through the town and conclude at the main festival field.

Councillor Penny Marriott, Waverley Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, said:  “We are proud to welcome Pride in Surrey to Godalming.  As a council that promotes a supporting and inclusive culture, it is wonderful to be able to show our appreciation and acknowledgement of all that the LGBTQ+ community brings to our borough.  We hope that many Waverley residents will come along and enjoy the day.”
