Free family fun this half term

Young families in Waverley are being invited to get out and about to take part in the exploration game ‘Xplorer’ in the forthcoming half-term holiday.

This free, outdoor family adventure will have you on a journey of discovery while racing against friends to complete the course.

Xplorer is an extremely popular trail which is taking on a different format this time round. Using a simple map, the aim is to find a number of markers that are located around the park. At each marker children need to identify what is pictured and enjoy learning a fun fact to tell their friends.

This time round you can pick and choose when to take on the challenge as the Xplorer markers will be on permanent display, so you have the freedom to complete the trail anytime between 23 October and 31 October 2021.

Please be advised that the trails will NOT be staffed. The markers will be at the following locations:

  • Broadwater Park, Farncombe
  • Farnham Park, Farnham
  • Snoxhall Fields, Cranleigh.

Councillor Liz Townsend, Waverley Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, Parks and Leisure, said: ““This is a fabulous opportunity to enjoy some free outdoor fun with family and friends set in some of our exceptional green spaces across the borough. These Xplorer events have proved to be very popular and a welcome diversion in the school holidays. It’s definitely worth giving it a go.”
