Xplorer Easter Events

FREE family fun this Easter

Families in Waverley are being invited to get out and about to the local parks to take part in the exploration game ‘Xplorer’ in the forthcoming Easter holidays.

This free, outdoor family adventure will have you on a journey of discovery that can either be a leisurely fact-finding activity or a competitive timed challenge!

Using a simple map, the aim is to find a number of markers that are located around the park. At each marker, children need to identify what is pictured or answer the question and enjoy learning a fun fact to tell their friends. Children can write their answers down on their answer sheet before circling back around to the staff table to check their answers and receive a surprise! Families can either enjoy a leisurely walk around the park whilst finding the markers, or challenge themselves to see how quickly they can find all the markers and return to the staff desk.

Each event will run between 10am-12pm with last entry being 11:30am. Parents and guardians can book online ahead of time or they can sign up on the day at the staff desk. Please see below, dates, times and locations of our Xplorer events this Easter.

  • Tuesday 2 April: 10am-12pm Snoxhall Fields, Cranleigh
  • Wednesday 3 April: 10am-12pm Broadwater Park, Godalming
  • Thursday 4 April: 10am-12pm Farnham Park

Councillor Kika Mirylees, Waverley Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Community Services, Leisure and EDI, said: “This is a fabulous opportunity to enjoy some free outdoor fun with family and friends set in some of our wonderful green spaces across the borough. The Xplorer events have proved to be very popular in the past and are a great way for families to get out and have some fun in the fresh air during the school holidays. I’d recommend giving it a try!”
