Families invited to FREE ‘Fold Our Town’ workshop in Godalming

Alongside the popular Godalming Family Activity Trail, families are being invited to help create a large paper model town inspired by Godalming and the local area. The workshop is part of Waverley Borough Council's programme of arts activities to encourage residents and visitors into our high streets post pandemic.

The fun FREE drop-in workshop led by A Line Art will be held at Godalming Library on Wednesday 10 August from 11am to 3pm. There, you will be able to design your own Godalming landmark or cut out and decorate the templates, which can be placed on a large vinyl map alongside other contributions to help create a community art installation that grows and evolves over the day.

Fold Our Town is also available as a free downloadable pack full of templates and ideas to get stuck into at home. You can use your imagination to bring to life the local landmarks, places and spaces which are important to you. Using the templates simply draw, colour, and decorate your landmarks or design your own in the blanks provided. Carefully cut them out and fold them to bring them to life.

You can access the pack by visiting Fold our Town: https://www.alineart.co.uk/events/fold-our-town-godalming-surrey or  hard copies of the pack will also be available to pick up for free from Godalming Library.
