Farnham Park pollution incident
Following the incident during December 2017, when a mains sewer pipe running under the park collapsed, Thames Water has started work installing a temporary over ground pipe to take waste through the woods, to another man hole in the park. This involves cutting a path through one of the footpaths which will be reinstated following the works.
Major works will need to take place to replace the broken section of pipe; this will involve excavation of the existing clay pipe and replacement with a modern pipe.
There is no timescale on the major replacement works as yet.
Please report any concerns to Thames Water by calling 0800 316 9800, quoting reference number 0081-07LPDL.
